StretchLab, an assisted stretching franchise, will host a grand opening for its first studio in Rockland County in Nanuet on Friday, Oct. 25, and Saturday, Oct. 26.

Located at 17 N Middletown Road, the studio will introduce people of all ages and fitness levels to the health and wellness benefits of working with flexologists in a modern and approachable environment.

Nanuet entrepreneur Sagar Pendse owns the new business. Before his journey into business ownership, Pendse had worked in financial services and for big tech companies in New York City.

Until June 2023, he worked as a recruiting manager at Meta, managing engineering recruitment for AI across North America before he was laid off like many others in the tech sector that year.

After being laid off, Pendse pursued his lifelong passion for entrepreneurship. He explored various franchise options before discovering StretchLab.

“When I discovered there wasn't a StretchLab in Rockland County, I knew I had to bring one to the area,” said Pendse. “Rockland is home to active residents who enjoy hiking, golf, and outdoor recreation, but with that activity comes a growing need for wellness-focused services."

Pendse said that whether young families stay active, professionals balance work and health, or older adults maintain mobility, this community values long-term wellness.

StretchLab offers various personalized one-on-one stretching services, including a 25-minute stretch that concentrates on the client’s current stretching needs and a 50-minute head-to-toe deep stretch that addresses all major muscle groups.

In addition to one-on-one stretching services, two small-format group stretches are available.

Monthly memberships for four or eight visits per month, as well as drop-in stretches, are available. Additionally, StretchLab offers family plans that can be shared among multiple users.

StretchLab Nanuet is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The studio can be reached online at www.stretchLab.com/location/nanuet, by email at nanuet@stretchlab.com, or by phone at 914-729-6358.
